Hope Kenya Missions
Building friendships across the globe.

Around 1998, Ann Fort, recently retired, discovered a new passion in her life: serving the people of Kenya. For over 25 years, she led 19 different mission trips to Kenya, improving schools, building homes and churches, and working with her Kenyan neighbors to build a better life. Even though our dear Ann is now gone, at Hope UMC, we seek to keep this tradition alive.

After a COVID-related hiatus, we are planning another trip to Kenya in the summer of 2026 to build two new homes and participate in a medical mission camp. We also anticipate more trips in the future as we keep Ann's legacy alive.

United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR)
Hope and healing to the most vulnerable

The United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) is the humanitarian relief and development arm of The United Methodist Church. UMCOR responds to natural and human-caused disasters—such as famine, floods, fires, hurricanes, and war—bringing relief, long-term recovery, and hope to vulnerable communities. It equips churches and partners with training and resources to strengthen disaster response, supports migrants with legal and humanitarian aid, and advocates globally for justice and compassion.
