Honoring a Loved One’s Life
The death of a loved one is one of life’s hardest moments, and no one should have to walk that road alone. At Hope, we surround families with prayer, comfort, and support. If a death is near, please call the church at (303) 779-1040 so that a pastor may pray with you. After office hours, a staff member will return your call as soon as possible.
When the time comes, our pastors and staff are honored to help you plan and host a Celebration of Life service—whether here at the church, at a funeral home, or at the graveside. We will walk alongside you, helping to honor your loved one with dignity, hope, and the assurance of God’s love.

-

-

Sacred Service + Sacred Space
Hope’s pastors are available to preside at every Celebration of Life. By church policy, they are expected to lead or participate in the service. With their permission, other clergy or individuals may also be invited to take part. While we begin with a traditional Christian liturgy, families are encouraged to add readings, music, and personal touches that reflect their loved one’s unique life.
Memorial Garden
Hope UMC’s Memorial Garden offers a sacred space for the interment of cremated remains of members and their families. Memorial plaques are also available for those whose remains are interred elsewhere. It is a place of peace, remembrance, and prayer.
Helping with End-of-Life Decisions
One of the greatest gifts we can give our loved ones is clarity about our wishes. To assist with this, Hope UMC has created Hope Passages (see document links below), a resource to help you share decisions regarding end-of-life care, the handling of remains, and plans for remembrance. We encourage you to complete this form and share it with your family. A copy may also be kept at the church for safekeeping.
For more information, please contact one of our pastors or Allison Eckert, Director of Logistics and Operations. We are honored to walk with you in this sacred time.
