Have you ever felt like your world was falling apart and you along with it? Have you ever felt completely overwhelmed and that you could not hold it together any longer? If so, it may be that someone close to you - a family member or friend shared, “God doesn’t give you more than you can handle.” Now, while I am sure they meant well and were trying to comfort you, it may not have felt that comforting, right?
Guess what. “God doesn’t give you more than you can handle”… It’s not in the Bible. Sometimes, we do face more than we can handle. Sometimes, what we face is terrible and is not from God at all. So, it’s ok to fall apart. We believe in a God of resurrection who walks with us in the darkest valleys, can pick up the pieces of our shattered lives, and create something beautiful again.
